The Water Carriers, a bronze sculpture on display outside the Loveland Visitors Center, has paid homage since 1997 to the hard work of the pioneers who settled the Colorado frontier. On Tuesday, several people used their own hard work and diverse skills to move the 12-foot-6-inch-tall, 3,000-pound bronze off its base so the steel support structure can be replaced.
